Subscribe in the iOS app (Apple) and restore purchases

The iOS app is coming soon (iOS first, Android later). The web app works in any browser now. Subscribe on the web until the app is out.

When the iOS app is out, you can subscribe through Apple using your Apple ID. Apple handles the payment and the renewal.

Subscribe

  1. In the app, when you add an aircraft or choose a plan, pick a plan. Prices are shown from the App Store ("1 year, auto-renewable").
  2. Tap Subscribe and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.

Before you buy, the app shows Apple's required terms: Terms of Use, the Apple Standard EULA, and the Privacy Policy.

Limits

  • You can have up to 5 aircraft billed through Apple on one account. For more, subscribe the extra aircraft on the web ("Subscribe to additional aircraft on the web").
  • Some plans can't be bought in the app and show Available on web. Subscribe to them at app.aircraftmxapp.com.

Restore purchases

When the iOS app is out, Restore Purchases is on the Apple purchase section of the subscription screen, with Manage Subscription. While it runs, the label is Restoring…. Tap it on a new iPhone, or after reinstalling the app, to reconnect your Apple subscription to AircraftMX.

If something goes wrong

  • "App Store prices could not be loaded": check your connection and try again.
  • "Price unavailable in the App Store": that plan isn't available in the app; subscribe on the web.

This article was written from the app's code; no in-app purchase screens were captured.
