iOS app coming soon; camera and push permissions

The AircraftMX iOS app is coming soon. iOS comes first; Android comes later. The web app works in any browser now.

When the iOS app is out, it gives you everything in the web app, plus your iPhone's camera for scanning logbook pages and push notifications.

Install

The iOS app is coming soon. Use the web app in any browser now, and sign in with your AircraftMX account.

When the app is out, open it and sign in with your AircraftMX account, or create one. Your aircraft and records are the same in the app and on the web.

Allow the camera and photo library

The app asks for permission the first time you take a photo or choose one from your library. You'll use them to:

If you tapped Don't Allow, turn access back on in your iPhone's Settings > AircraftMX.

Allow notifications

Tap Allow when asked, to get push alerts such as items coming due and imported flights. Choose which alerts you get in Notifications.

Offline

The app needs an internet connection. If you lose signal, you'll see You're offline. The app reconnects automatically, or you can tap Retry.

Subscriptions in the app

When the iOS app is out, you can subscribe through Apple in the app. See Subscribe in the iOS app.

Android

Android comes later. The web app works in any browser now.

This article was written from the app's code; screenshots of the iOS app weren't captured.
